All Buddhist schools are the same foundation:they originate from the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, the Historical Buddha, also known as Shakyamuni Buddha.
Siddhartha was born as a prince of Sakya Kingdom, the son of King Suddhodana and Queen Maya, who lived about three thousand years ago in the region of Magadha.
Since ancient times, the Lotus Sutra has been called “The King of Sutras” or “The Essence of the Buddha’s Teachings”. It is a Buddhist scripture widely revered and studied in all Buddhist schools, especially within Japanese, Chinese, and Tibetan traditions.
